2015 was a great year for Whidbey Island Real Estate!

Almost without exception, the real estate market on Whidbey Island has shown some strong gains, with sales at ten year highs everywhere on Whidbey Island.  Prices are also up for the most part, although still lagging behind the highs of a decade ago.

Area 813 Jan 2016 Median PriceArea 813 Sales Jan 2016Our largest real estate market is on North Whidbey Island, with demand driven largely by the rotation of Navy personnel at NAS Whidbey Island.  Home sales for 2015 were up 16.5% from 2014, and median home prices were up 12% year-over-year.










Area 811 Sales Jan 2016Area 811 Jan 2016 Median PriceOur second largest market is on South Whidbey Island.  The market here is distinctly different, with a strong orientation toward Seattle, with many second homes and Seattle -area retirees who want to remain close to the city.  The number of home sales on South Whidbey Island increased almost 8% between 2014 and 2015 and median home sale prices increasing about 6% in the same time frame.










Area 812 Sales Jan 2016OuArea 812 Jan 2016 Median Pricer third market is Coupeville and Central Whidbey.  This area is popular with retirees and folks wanting a  more rural lifestyle. Central Whidbey saw a dramatic 34% increase in the number of home sales, although median home sale prices actually decreased by more than 7% during that period!
